John does not want us to think that since we lie if we say we have no sin, that therefore we do not need to fight against sin. We must go to Christ, our Advocate, who pleads our case before the very throne of God. We discuss the profundity of having Jesus as our legal defender. We John writes to us to not sin, that implies the need to flee from temptation and wicked situations. Jesus will be there for those who flee to Him.
