In this message from Romans 9:30-33 we examine why the Israelites missed salvation. Paul argues that Israel approached salvation as if it were by works rather than faith. Paul cites from Isaiah 28:16 to impress upon his audience the fact that Israel had “stumbled over the Stone laid in Zion.” In much of this sermon we look at how the Israelites should have known that salvation was through the Messiah because the Old Testament writers really did teach Messianic doctrine.
