Ananias Prays for Saul (Acts 9:10-19)

November 27, 2016 Speaker: Bob DeWaay Series: Acts of the Apostles

Scripture: Acts 9:10-19

Saul, having been blinded, was in Damascus. By use of a double vision, God speaks to a disciple named Ananias and to Saul, bringing them together. We have a discussion about how we find guidance now given the completion of the Bible. We discuss providence and our decision making. We are free to make decisions that do not violate God’s moral law. Conversions are supernatural works of God. Also, there is no set pattern in regard to various things that are associated with conversions in Acts. Matters such as laying on of hands, tongues, baptism, things that are said and so forth do not create a set ordo salutis (order of salvation).
