In this final class on the book of Revelation we discuss how the Holy Spirit and church longs for the coming of Christ. We discuss the invitation of salvation for all people and explain the difference between the universal and effectual call. We also address the warning Jesus gives about not adding or subtracting from the book of Revelation. We discuss the implications this has on the canonicity of Scripture as well as how the book of Revelation is interpreted. Finally, we look at the great final promise of Jesus’ imminent return. We are reminded that the entire book of Revelation is bracketed by the notion that Jesus is “coming soon.” We stand with John and all the saints and say, “Even so, come Lord Jesus.”
