In the Beginning ... (Part 2)

December 13, 2017 Speaker:

In part two of our study, we continue to consider the evidence in support of the non-traditional view of Genesis's beginning. We then go on to argue that the traditional interpretation is not only possible but is also the best reading of Genesis 1:1. Additionally, even if we were to accept the non-traditional view for the sake of argument, it would not follow that the primordial earth and waters were pre-existent, uncreated, self-sustaining entitities. Rather, the overall message of the creation account—along with Genesis, the Torah, and the rest of the Scriptures—would remain the same: "In the beginning, God created [everything!]"
